A good size crowd attended Hallsville’s Memorial Day services held Monday at 9:30 a.m. at the flagpole downtown. Featured speakers were Ret. Maj. James E. Mizell, who spoke on how he was spared in Vietnam in 1970 and on the numerous military cemeteries he has visited.
